If you have an emergency, we’re here for you with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Designed with your safety and comfort in mind, our Boise emergency department has board-certified emergency medicine physicians on staff 24/7, private treatment rooms, and rapid lab and X-ray services.
We also offer the only dedicated pediatric trauma program in the state of Idaho, with specially equipped emergency treatment rooms for children and a staff that includes specialists in general, orthopedic, and neurosurgery; anesthesiologists; emergency medicine physicians and nurses; radiologists; critical care specialists; physical, occupational, and rehabilitation therapists; and other generalists and specialists.
We’re an accredited Chest Pain Center staffed by emergency physicians and nurses with advanced training in cardiac care, consulting cardiologists, and other professional staff.
The main entrance to St. Luke’s Boise Emergency Department is located on Bannock Street, across from the Patient/Visitor Parking Lot.

St. Luke's Boise and Meridian emergency departments are nationally accredited Chest Pain Centers, where patients whose chest pain is not clearly a heart attack can undergo further monitoring and testing by cardiology and emergency experts.
St. Luke's Boise and Meridian are also STEMI (ST-elevation myocardial infarction) Level I centers as designated by the Idaho State Time Sensitive Emergencies Council.
Our team also monitors and cares for patients with heart failure exacerbation and transient ischemic attack (TIA or “mini-stroke”).
