  • General Surgery


    Richard Ballantyne, DO has particular interest in advanced laparoscopic hernia and colon surgery as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University.  Dr. Ballantyne is a member of the Idaho Medical Association and Ada County Medical Society. He is a native of the Treasure Valley.

  • General Surgery


    Jonathan V. Giles, MD, FACS specializes in advanced laparoscopic, oncologic (cancer), hernia repair, and endocrine surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member and Fellow of the Southwest Surgical Congress.

    Dr. Giles earned his bachelor's degree in physiology from the University of California at Davis and his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed his general surgery residency and internship at the University of Utah and Affiliated Hospitals, and served three years of active duty as a U.S. Air Force surgeon with the 366th Wing Hospital, Mountain Home Air Force Base.

    Rhiana S. Menen, MD is a clinical and academic surgeon with experience and training in general and laparoscopic surgery, and has particular interest in cancer care, women's health, and cancer prevention. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. 

    Dr. Menen is also interested in international and medically underserved populations, and has done medical outreach trips to India and Kenya.

  • Biography

    Anne Peterson, PA-C works directly with Dr. Jon Getz in the operating room and clinic, and assists other surgeons in the operating room.

    Anne earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Northwest Nazarene University and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants.

Investing in Community Health for Nampa and Beyond

St. Luke's has begun Phase 2 of our development in Nampa, which will deliver an 87-bed hospital with family suites for new mothers and their newborns, a NICU, children’s services, additional heart services, and an intensive care unit. We'll also offer obstetrics and women’s services, additional imaging services, and a new St. Luke's MSTI cancer care facility.

We need your help! The St. Luke's Canyon County Community Council has established a community fundraising goal of $2.6 million to support this project over the next five years.
