ALERT

We are experiencing high call volumes in response to expanded COVID vaccination scheduling. Vaccine supplies in Idaho are limited. Please do not call St. Luke’s clinics directly regarding COVID-19 vaccination. Appointments are made through myChart as vaccine is available; we are not able to accommodate walk-ins. Unless you need to call for an emergency, you are encouraged to use myChart for questions and appointments at this time. Find additional information here.

Description

As a family practice physician, Julie Lyons, MD hears first-hand many of the questions people have about the newly produced COVID-19 vaccines. Dr. Lyons would like to take this opportunity to address the concerns and confusion she hears from her patients and in the community.

Understanding how these quickly-produced vaccines have been tested, what we’re hearing about side effects, how the vaccines work and why two doses are required for efficacy, and when and where to get accurate information, will help you understand this important chapter of the current pandemic.
