Description

Trauma-informed health care is an approach to treating patients with histories of adverse childhood experiences (ACE). With the number of patients having experienced ACE growing, it's imperative that health care professionals be educated on topics associated with ACEs and consider the implications of their patients' past experiences when evaluating current health conditions.

This trauma-informed care class will allow healthcare providers to better understand and serve this population with the utmost compassion and confidence. Using trauma-informed approaches to health care can potentially improve patient engagement, enhance outcomes, and lower cost.
