Students also learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.\r\nLife & Business Skills: The ability to screen jobs, discuss fees, and greet employers will set students up for success now and in the future. Students practice these skills through various role plays.

Description

Safe Sitter® prepares students to learn how to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.

Prerequisites

Safe Sitter® is a nationally recognized program designed for kids ages 11-13. Student must be a minimum of 11 years of age and in Grade 6 to attend.

Registration is required and a full payment must be made at the time of registration. Please note that if there are less than 5 people enrolled in the class, the class may be cancelled. You will be notified before the class if this occurs. No refunds are given for this class, unless it is cancelled by us or a medical condition prevents you from attending class. Otherwise, you may transfer to another class within six months of the original class date.

If multiple siblings will be attending the same class, please do not register online.  Please call St. Luke's Connect at 208-308-9000 to pay only $20 for each additional sibling attending the same class.

If you are a St. Luke's employee, please do not register online. To get your employee discount, call St. Luke's Connect at 208-381-9000 to register. No refunds will be issued if you continue to register online.

Special Instructions

  • Your child will NEED to bring a sack lunch, refillable water bottle, and snack for the afternoon. They will not have access to purchasing food within the facility. 
  • Class registration is from 8:45-9 a.m. Please print off and fill out attached paperwork and consents to bring with your child. 
  • Class starts promptly at 9 a.m. 
  • Please arrive at 3:30 p.m. to attend your child's graduation ceremony and pick them up.

Your child will not be allowed to leave the room until an adult arrives to the room to pick them up.

*It is required that your child attend this class in full to receive their certificate*
