Description
This is a comprehensive class that is designed to prepare you and your support person for labor, childbirth, and early parenting.
We'll cover:
- Your wellness
- The labor experience
- A tour of the maternal child units
- Relaxation techniques, including massage, music therapy, and visualization exercises
- Breathing techniques
- Videos of both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Positions for labor
- Pain medication/anesthesia options
- Preparation for cesarean birth
- Your care postpartum
- Care for your baby including breastfeeding, formula feeding and early parenting
- Car seat safety and home safety information
- CPR for infants including foreign body airway obstruction

Prerequisites
100% payment is due at time of registration.
Registration Instructions
Registration is required. Please note that if there are less than 4 people enrolled in the class, the class may be cancelled. You will be notified before the class if this occurs. Please plan on arriving to class 10-15 minutes early to sign in. Wear comfortable clothes, bring 2 regular size bed pillows.
