Osteoporosis is currently estimated to affect nearly 44 million adults over age 50 in the United States. Literally translated as porous bone, this disease decreases the density and quality of bone tissue and can increase the risk of fracture, structural deformity and pain.

Kacey Fairfield, physical therapist, will discuss how physical therapy has been proven to be an effective non-surgical treatment to help reduce the risk of the onset of osteoporosis, restore bone mass, slow down bone loss, and build surrounding muscle mass to protect us when diagnosis occurs.
