Love beans but do not know what to do with them? In this class, you will learn about the health benefits of beans, all the different varieties, and how to incorporate more beans into your diet. We will also explore cooking with soybean products like tofu and tempeh. We will teach you how to soak and prepare dried beans in several ways (including the InstantPot) and demonstrate creative quick and simple recipes using canned beans. This class is taught by Registered Dietitians, Charmin Aschenbrener and Josie Read.
This cooking class is offered on the basis of whole-food, plant-based nutrition. Previous attendance in the "Introduction to Whole-Food, Plant Based Eating" and/or "Plant-Based Cooking Basics" class, would greatly enhance your experience.
