Description

When helping someone who has a mental illness, friends and family members are often faced with unique, complex situations that may be challenging to identify, understand or address. 

Brittany Shipley, executive director of National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood River Valley, will provide information about and insight into the psychological and scientific elements of the brain that contribute to illnesses as well as discuss ways to promote empathy and understanding, decrease judgement and support wellness.
