HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method is as much a philosophy of birth as it is a technique. This rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing is based on the belief that babies should enter the world in an atmosphere of gentleness, calm, and joy.
This 5-week class is taught by a registered nurse and certified HypnoBirthing practitioner. It's a complete childbirth program and includes education on the birthing process, deep relaxation, imagery, your birthing options, and more.
Whether you're having your first baby or want to try a new method after a previous birthing experience, HypnoBirthing can help you prepare for the best birthing experience possible. Even if your labor requires medical assistance or cesarean birth, the skills you acquire in your HypnoBirthing class will help you achieve a fulfilling and joyful experience. When you are properly prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally, you can birth your baby in a more comfortable manner.

No refunds are given for this class, unless it is cancelled by us or a medical condition prevents you from attending class. Otherwise, you may transfer to another class within six months of the original class date.

Bring your spouse, partner, or other support person and two bed pillows and a small blanket. Dress comfortably.
This class is designed for expectant parents and helps you and your partner prepare physically and emotionally for breastfeeding. We’ll build your confidence by offering support for getting started, as well as solutions for common problems and advice on family adjustments and nutrition.
<p>In this workshop, we’ll discuss the beneficial use of simple movement and yoga postures to prepare for positions used in labor. Using movement in labor can help foster optimal fetal positioning and may lessen the length of labor. </p><p>Women will learn breath awareness and relaxation techniques helpful to cope with the intensity of contractions. These skills can help a woman in labor remain calm and confident, and can even alter her perception of pain. </p><p>Partners will learn various techniques to support a woman in labor, including the use of massage, hot and cold packs, staging the birth environment, and supportive language. No yoga experience is necessary.</p><p>This class includes:</p><ul><li>Practice of birth positions</li><li>Breathing techniques</li><li>Practical ways to use passive relaxation in labor</li><li>Working with a stability “birthing” ball</li><li>Massage, counter-pressure, aromatherapy, and other partner-supportedtechniques to provide comfort for a woman in labor</li><li>Practice working together through faux contractions</li></ul>
