ALERT

Due to the overwhelming surge in COVID-19 cases and the strain it has placed on health care capacity in the communities we serve, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has activated crisis standards of care statewide. We are open and available to see patients, but you may experience delays at our ERs, hospitals, and clinics. We appreciate your patience. Access more info on COVID testing, vaccination, visitor policy, hospitalization data, and FAQs.

Description

Heart of the Matter health screenings are now available year-round. Now you can choose when to have your reduced-cost annual screening.

  • Blood test for HDL and LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and glucose levels for $10.
  • Optional A1c test for people with diabetes for an additional $5.
  • Test results will be entered into myChart or sent by mail, if preferred.
  • Must be age 18 or older.
  • Fasting for at least 8 hours is strongly encouraged. (Fasting less than 8 hours may result in elevated glucose levels.)
  • Drink lots of water (8 or more cups a day).

Payment is due at time of service, cash or check only. Insurance will not be billed.

We strongly encourage you to review your results with your primary care provider. We also invite you to seek out the wide range of health education and information offered through St. Luke's Center for Community Health and at our annual Discover Health Fair in November.
