Gentle Restorative Yoga for People with Cancer & Cancer Survivors: Online

This class offers deeply relaxing, restoring, and therapeutic exercises consisting of gentle, mindful movements, breathing techniques, essential oils, and/or a nourishing body awareness meditation. 

Scientific studies show yoga provides many medical and psychological benefits, including:

  • Improved sleep and energy 
  • Restored strength and range of motion 
  • Improved lymphatic flow 
  • Decreased joint and muscle pain 


  • Reduced stress, anxiety, and depression

Suggested personal props for home include: 1 mat, 1 bolster, 2 blankets, and 2 blocks. If you do not have the suggested props above, you may use:

  • Bolster: large pillow, couch cushion, multiple blankets
  • Blocks: books, large can of food

Join us virtually each Wednesday during the lunch hour from 12:00pm – 1:00pm via Microsoft Teams Meeting. 





Community oncology patient (has a cancer diagnosis) that is currently undergoing treatment or has completed treatment within the last 2 years. 

You must be 18 years of age or older, be at least 6 weeks post-surgery, and must be able to get to the floor and back to standing without assistance. 

You must complete a St. Luke's consent form prior to your first class.

Registration Instructions

Props not provided. 

Suggested personal props for home include: 1 mat, 1 bolster, 2 blankets, and 2 blocks. 

Substitutions for props: Bolster: large pillow, couch cushion Blocks: books, large can of food 

Please wear comfortable clothing you can easily move around in. You are free to be barefoot or wear socks during class.
