ALERT

We are experiencing high call volumes in response to expanded COVID vaccination scheduling. Vaccine supplies in Idaho are limited. Please do not call St. Luke’s clinics directly regarding COVID-19 vaccination. Appointments are made through myChart as vaccine is available; we are not able to accommodate walk-ins. Unless you need to call for an emergency, you are encouraged to use myChart for questions and appointments at this time. Find additional information here.

Description

Derek Ipsen, DO, board certified orthopedic and hand surgeon and recent addition to the St. Luke’s Wood River orthopedic team, will explore the condition of Dupuytren’s contracture. This condition, which causes the tissues of the hands and fingers to thicken, affects about 5% of the population and can result in the fingers deforming into a bent or curled position. Dr. Ipsen will discuss potential predispositions, causes, symptoms and medical treatments that may be helpful.
