St. Luke's Patients not at Risk for Tainted Steroid Treatments

By Ken Dey, News and Community
October 9, 2012

St. Luke’s Health System has not received any of the potentially tainted spinal steroid injections made by the New England Compounding Center. The injections are linked to a recent national outbreak of meningitis.

St. Luke’s, however, uses a different vendor for its steroid injections and does not purchase its steroid injections from the New England Compounding Center.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention identified Idaho as one of 23 potential states believed to have received the steroid injections from the Massachusetts-based company.
