As most of you know, I hold forums twice a year throughout St. Luke's Health System. Spring forums look forward, and last spring, I reviewed our strategy around accountable care, myStLuke's, Healthy U, and the Medicare Shared Savings Program. If you'd like to view a video of that forum, you can watch it at http://drpate.stlukesblogs.org/2012/04/19/my-spring-report-to-st-lukes-health-system/.
For our fall forums, held throughout the System over the past two weeks, I made the effort to connect the dots, to try to help all employees, physicians, volunteers, donors, board members, and our communities understand how all the work we have been doing over the past three years comes together to position us well to transform health care and to provide accountable care.
It was great to be in Wood River, Magic Valley, Jerome, McCall, Boise, Meridian, and Shoreline for our 14 forums! I got to see so many of you, and I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to answer your questions. I know that others would like to have attended but couldn’t, so here is a video of the fall forum.
I want to thank every one of you for all you do for St. Luke’s and the communities we serve. This is a very exciting time for St. Luke’s as we lead the way in Idaho to truly transform health care!
David C. Pate, M.D., J.D., is president and CEO of St. Luke's Health System, based in Boise, Idaho. Dr. Pate joined the System in 2009. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
The most valuable thing we have is our health. And the most valuable thing St. Luke's can do is help you live as healthy a life as possible. We're taking care forward as we develop new ways—and refine the tried and true—to improve health, improve care, and lower costs.
