WHAT: The fifth annual Reading is Good Medicine Book Fair benefitting St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital held in conjunction with Barnes & Noble Bookstore.WHEN: Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Barnes & Noble, 1315 N. Milwaukee St., Boise.
WHY: The annual event is a key fundraiser for the St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. During the event Barnes & Noble will give St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital a percentage of that day’s sales. Proceeds from the event will go toward the purchase of new books for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital school. Customers can also choose to purchase a selection of recommended books to donate to the school. This year, online customers can also participate between March 3-8 by including the book fair ID No. 10676021 when placing an order. A variety of event are planned during the book fair including arts and crafts; games; a visit from St. Luke’s therapy dogs; a germ light activity and live chickens hatching. In addition to the events, St. Luke’s executives, including St. Luke’s Health System CEO Dr. David Pate and Children’s Hospital Medical Director Dr. Greg Janos will be reading stories to children starting at 11 a.m.
