Kidding Around for the Cause

By Dr. David C. Pate, News and Community
June 11, 2012

Wearing my best man of steel ensemble, I joined all the other superheroes June 1 for the 20th annual Kid for a Night. This wildly popular annual party raises funds for St. Luke's Children's Hospital, and gives adults a really good reason to dress in their capes and tights. I joined a slew of Batmen and -women, Green Lanterns and Hornets, and various other caped and capped crusaders in dinner, dancing, and comic fun. Powered by 44 sponsors and attended by more than 880 guests, this year's silliness raised a very serious, and record-breaking, $452,750. Our volunteers and sponsors are my heroes. Big thanks!
