Rita Chretien Condition Update, May 10, 10 a.m.

May 10, 2011

RE: Rita Chretien Condition Update, May 10, 10 a.m.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho –  Rita Chretien, a patient at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, has been upgraded to good condition at this hour.

Physicians treating Chretien indicate:

  • She is enjoying solid foods and had a dinner of salmon, rice and green beans last night.  This morning she had a breakfast burrito with homemade salsa.  A “Bowl of Soul” coffee was brought to her from a local coffee house. It included a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg and a dollop of whipped cream, which Rita said was delicious.
  • She has tolerated solid foods very well.
  • She continues physical therapy
  • Her spirits are high.
  • The medical team is watching her closely but indicators of her recovery are very good
  • Discharge details have not been confirmed at this time.
The family continues to politely decline requests for interviews during Rita’s stay at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center.
