Boise, IDAHO – People can help St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and get a great deal on a carnation for Valentine’s Day during the annual St. Luke’s Karnations for Kids flower sale.
Now in its 24th year, the sale has raised more than $500,000 for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. More than 25,000 carnations are expected be sold at a cost of $2 each.
Carnations will be available for sale in the lobbies at St. Luke’s Boise and St. Luke’s Meridian hospitals from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the public sales, a number of area businesses and schools are also holding their own internal sales.
Participating businesses include: Blue Cross, Boise Inc., Boise Cascade LLC, Home Federal Bank, J.R. Simplot Co., Key Bank Loan Center, Oppenheimer Companies, and Wells Fargo.
Schools participating include the following high schools: Bishop Kelly, Boise, Borah, Capital, Centennial, Eagle, and Emmett. East Junior High along with River Valley Elementary are also participating.
St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital is Idaho’s only children’s hospital. Each year the Hospital treats more than 50,000 children. The Hospital has Idaho’s largest and most experienced Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit and the state’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
