BOISE, Idaho – St. Luke’s Health Foundation’s Children’s Advisory Board has named long-time St. Luke’s volunteer Susie Molenaar-Butterfield and the Idaho Credit Union League as this year’s 2010 Luke Award recipients.
The award recognizes an individual and an organization for efforts that demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to fundraising efforts for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
Molenaar-Butterfield, this year’s individual recipient, is a founding member and former board chair of the St. Luke’s Children’s Advisory Board. She is a civic leader and children’s health care advocate who dedicates her time to family, philanthropy and the community. Through her family business, Molenaar Jewelers, she has orchestrated many fundraisers for St. Luke’s. She also dedicates much of her time volunteering at fundraising events for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network.
The Idaho Credit Union League is the 2010 organization recipient for the Luke Award. The Idaho Credit Union League is being recognized for its “Credit Union for Kids” program, which is committed to helping St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital at every opportunity. The Idaho Credit Union League and its employees have volunteered and raised money to help the young patients at St. Luke’s through a variety of efforts including volunteering at the annual Children’s Miracle Network Telethon and orchestrating company fundraisers.
The two recipients will be recognized Tuesday, Nov. 30 during a special awards ceremony in the Anderson Center at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center.

About St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital
St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital is Idaho’s only children’s hospital. Located at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, the Children’s Hospital treats more than 50,000 children a year. The hospital is home to Idaho’s largest and most experienced Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit and the state’s only Pediatric intensive Care Unit.
