A year's worth of fundraisers and other philanthropic efforts on the part of the St. Luke's Children's Advisory Board netted nearly $1.2 million in funding for St. Luke's Children's Hospital.

The Children's Advisory Board was formed in 1995 to provide philanthropic support to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. The board raises funds through signature events like Kid For A Night and Scramble for the Kids; the partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals; and third-party fundraisers that take place throughout the community.

Kathy Moore, CEO of St. Luke's Health System's West Region, addresses on-site and off-site audiences during thursday's $1.17 million check presentation from the Children's Advisory Board.

On Thursday (Feb. 19), Children’s Advisory Board members presented a check for funds raised in fiscal year 2014 - $1,173,438 - to St. Luke's officials including West Region CEO Kathy Moore; Children's Hospital Executive Medical Director Dr. Gregory Janos; St. Luke's Health System COO Chris Roth; and Children's Hospital Director of Operations Katie Apple.

Since 1995, more than $9 million has been gifted to St. Luke's by the Children’s Advisory Board, touching nearly every area of St. Luke's Children’s Hospital and Children’s Services.
