CAR T-cell therapy is highly effective in stopping even advanced cancers, and uses the patient's own T-cells to attack and kill cancer cells.

The FDA has approved CAR T-cell therapy to treat several types of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Research trials are underway exploring treating cancers of the breast, colon, brain, and lungs.

Patients must live within 30 minutes of CAR T-cell therapy treatment centers for weeks at a time.

Currently, however, the closest treatment centers are in Salt Lake City and Seattle.

Many cancer patients in Idaho can't easily make out-of-state trips for extended periods to access this potentially life-saving therapy. With your help, St. Luke's can bring CAR T-cell therapy closer to home.
We're happy to answer questions regarding potential donations to St. Luke's. Please call Zoe Brunelle, St. Luke's Health Foundation's Director of Major and Planned Giving at (208) 381-1567 or send her an email today! Thank you for caring for your community.
