Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

At St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, we’re dedicated to providing the highest quality care for Idaho’s youngest patients. As the state’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, we partner year-round with local businesses, organizations, and individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals began at St. Luke’s more than 40 years ago, with a vision to ensure that children receive the best possible care, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

Since its founding, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have raised more than $9 billion—most of it donated one dollar at a time by generous supporters across the United States and Canada. Every dollar raised through CMN Hospitals stays local, directly benefiting the children and families who rely on us.

Since 1983, our incredible community has raised over $30 million to support specialized care, life-saving equipment, and essential programs that make St. Luke’s Children’s a beacon of hope for Idaho’s kids.

It takes a community to heal a child, and together, we’re creating miracles—one child at a time.

MEET OUR 2026 CHAMPION

Maddie’s Strength Shines Through

Maddie was born with hemihypertrophy, a rare condition that can cause uneven growth and increase the risk of childhood cancers. When Maddie was 3, a routine screening revealed a malignant Wilms’ tumor on her kidney.

After surgery and six months of treatment at St. Luke Children’s, Maddie entered remission. Unfortunately, seven years later, a scan revealed her cancer had returned, destroying her left kidney, spreading to her liver and blocking a major vein. Her treatment spanned 18 months of chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries, including a 13-hour procedure.

Throughout the intense treatments, Maddie’s determination never wavered. Today, she is in recovery and continues follow-up care at St. Luke’s Children’s. While her journey — marked by early detection, expert medical care and immense strength — isn’t over, she can now focus on enjoying her teenage years.

2025 CMN Hospitals Champion: Sofia

Sofia’s life was transformed in March 2023 when acute flaccid myelitis left her with near-total paralysis. With the unwavering support of her medical team and family, she has shown remarkable resilience. After a month in intensive care and a successful nerve transfer surgery in January 2024, she regained significant function in her right arm, restoring hope for her continued recovery.

Sofia’s journey reflects extraordinary strength, determination, and the power of community and compassionate healthcare.
