Your charitable gifts to St. Luke’s help purchase medical equipment, support wellness and prevention programs for all ages, and meet our patients' needs. You help us provide continuing education for hospital staff so they can continue offering high-quality care, and scholarships to nursing students who will stay and work in the Magic Valley.
Although our funding priorities shift over time, there are some areas that always have a need, including:
- Children's health
- Women's health
- Cancer programs
- Hospital staff education
- Cardiac services
- Endowments

Patient and Community Programs
Cancer Patient Assistance Fund: Help to meet basic needs such as groceries, utilities, vehicle repairs, and medications when other community resources are not immediately accessible or available.
Mammograms: Our goal is to increase the Magic Valley’s screening mammogram rate by 10% each year. Lack of screenings lead to a high rate of advanced stage breast cancers and many preventable deaths in the past decade.
Children with Special Needs: The applications for funding outnumber the amount of donations available to help. The Magic Valley Health Foundations has committed to raising $1,000,000 for this worthy cause! A minimum of $100,000 of this will be placed in an endowment to help future generations in perpetuity.
Endowment Fundraising
Children At Risk Evaluation Services (CARES) Endowment: CARES provides comprehensive evaluation services in times of suspected child abuse, working with local law enforcement and child protection agencies to minimize trauma to children and their families and help them move toward healing.
Healthcare Education Endowment: Continuing grants to St. Luke's Magic Valley departments for healthcare education, and individuals seeking to further patient care skills and techniques.
General Endowment: Support for healthcare programs of greatest need as determined by the Foundation Board of Trustees.
