St. Luke’s Wood River Mother/Baby Unit
Quality, comfort, safety
Since St. Luke’s Wood River opened in 2000, the number of babies born in our hospital has steadily increased. In 2008, more than 300 families trusted
St. Luke’s to care for them and their newest additions.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, St. Luke’s Wood River recently expanded our Mother/Baby Unit.
“This remodel expands our facilities so that more families will be able to experience the entire birthing process—including labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery—in a safe and comfortable place,” says Dr. Joseph Rodriguez, obstetrician and gynecologist with St. Luke’s OB/GYN.
St. Luke’s now has six Labor and Delivery rooms for welcoming new lives to the valley, where newborns and their families can experience the entire birthing process in a comfortable, home-like environment, with state-of-the-art technology.
The project was funded by community donations coupled with allocations from the hospital’s capital budget and St. Luke’s Volunteer Core. St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation celebrated the completion of the Mother/Baby Unit expansion in January with behind-the-scenes tours of the facility. If you were unable to attend and would like to arrange a private tour, please contact the Foundation office at (208) 727-8444.
