St. Luke's Center for Breast Imaging
St. Luke’s Center for Breast Imaging,
located on First and Bannock Streets in Boise, provides women
with convenient, timely access to superior diagnostic breast
imaging services when screening mammogram results indicate
the need for follow-up. Services available at this state-of
the-art center include diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound,
image-guided needle biopsy, Mammotome breast biopsy, pre-operative
breast localization, and galactography. Direct access to breast
MRI and nuclear medicine sentinel node procedures is also
available.
All mammograms performed through St. Luke’s are interpreted by Boise Radiology Group, whose members are accredited by the American College of Radiology.
The Center for Breast Imaging is fortunate to have the leadership of Dr. James R. Maxwell, medical director of St. Luke’s Breast Care Services. With a fellowship in Breast Imaging from the prestigious Iris Cantor Center for Breast Imaging at UCLA, Dr. Maxwell brings the highest level of expertise to Idaho women.

Screening mammography will continue to be provided through our mobile coach and Breast Cancer Detection Center (BCDC) locations.
