- St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center has been caring for the people of south central Idaho for more than 85 years. Our health care team works together to provide an excellent patient experience that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and centered on each patient’s needs.
- St. Luke’s Magic Valley is a 144-bed hospital, with acute care and acute rehabilitation as well as St. Luke's Canyon View Behavioral Health Services. With more than 1,400 employees and more than 175 physicians with 28 specialties, St. Luke’s Magic Valley provides the most comprehensive services in south central Idaho, including: general acute care services, Inpatient Rehabilitation services, Behavioral Health Services, cancer services with St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI), Cardiopulmonary and Cardiac Catheterization, CARES (Children At Risk Evaluation Services), Community Connection information and referral database, Diabetes and Nutrition Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology and Women’s Imaging Services, Emergency Services, Home Health and Hospice Care, Intensive Care and Newborn Intensive Care Units, Laboratory Services, Medical Library (open to the public), Maternal-Child Services (OB, Pediatrics and Women’s services), Pharmacy, Occupational Health, Adult and Pediatric Rehabilitation (Speech, Occupational, Physical Therapy), Comprehensive Surgical Services, Magic Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition, Social Services and Pastoral Care, Volunteer Services and Auxiliary, and St. Luke’s Magic Valley Foundation for gift-giving.
- On January 1, 2002, the hospital merged with the Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital, a 44-bed hospital with adjoining physician offices located in downtown Twin Falls. The coming together of the facilities and physicians created a strong unified community of health care providers. This allowed for expanded services such as interventional cardiology to be provided locally. Also in 2002, the hospital partnered with St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) to provide state-of-the-art cancer treatment to residents of the Magic Valley and northern Nevada.
- St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center
operated as a county-owned not-for-profit hospital
from 1915 until July 2006, when Twin Falls County residents passed the
initiative allowing Magic Valley Medical Center
to join three St. Luke’s hospitals, creating
the first Idaho-based not-for-profit health care system. St.
Luke’s Magic Valley is proud to be part of St. Luke’s
newly created four-hospital health system, serving the
people of Idaho. Working together we share resources,
skills, and knowledge to provide the best possible
care, no matter which of our hospitals you choose.
As the only Idaho-based, not-for-profit health system,
St. Luke’s is part of the communities we serve, with local physicians and boards who further our organization’s mission: “To improve the health of people in our region.”
- Throughout the transitional history of this community, there is one consistent variable—the growth of its hospital. And while its size, its purpose, its ownership, and even its name have changed over the years, residents can continue to count on the contributions of physicians, nurses, staff, and community members. Today, these contributions have ensured the viability of the hospital and its ability to adapt, achieve, and aspire to greatness, while still retaining its promise of quality health care in the community.
- St. Luke’s Magic Valley is fully accreditied by Joint Commission and is a participant in the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s 5 Million Lives Campaign.
- St. Luke’s Magic Valley is the proud recipient of the Qualis Health Award of Excellence in Healthcare Quality and the 2005 Solucient Top 100 Hospitals: Performance Improvement Leader Award.
