Medical, Dental, Vision, and Orthodontic Insurance
Three separate medical and two separate dental programs are administered through AmeriBen and Delta Dental of Idaho. The Managed Health Care plans are designed to meet the varying needs and budgets of employees with available features such as a prescription drug program, vision care, orthodontics, and preventative care.
Paid Time Off
Paid time off (PTO) is to be used for vacation, holidays, and short-term illness or injury. One year full-time accrual is 184 hours (23 days). Accrual for part-time employees is pro-rated based on actual hours worked. Accrual increases after four and nine years of employment. Maximum accrual is 320 hours.
Short-Term Disability
Hours accrue at the rate of 64 per year for full-time employees in this income protection program, which works as a bridge between PTO and Long-term disability insurance. Maximum accrual is 520 hours.
Long-Term Disability
Provides 60% of base earnings after a 90-day waiting period. Disability may come from non-work related illness or injury.
Retirement Program
(a) All employees are eligible immediately for ING Tax-Deferred Annuity and Employer Matching Account. St. Luke's will match the lesser of 1/3 of the employee's contribution or 2% of compensation (maximum match is 2%). Employee self-directs funds through 42 investment options. Immediately 100% vested. (b) All employees working 1,000 hours in plan year Annual Contribution. Employees working 1,000 hours in a plan year will receive a percentage of gross earnings contribution. Must satisfy a 6-month eligibility requirement to enter plan (by July 1st or January 1st). Vested after 5 years of eligible service.
On-Site Child Care (at some locations)
Early childhood development programs in a caring atmosphere. Open 6 a.m.-8 p.m., seven days a week.
Air St. Luke's Membership
All newly hired St. Luke's employees automatically receive a FREE Air St. Luke's membership. Our critical care transport program, Air St. Luke's, provides safe and rapid transport for critically ill and injured patients. Air St. Luke's membership covers medically necessary transport provided by our helicopter, airplane, and specialty teams vehicles. There are no out-of-pocket expenses. In the event you require transport, the payment we receive from your insurance company will be considered payment in full.
During St. Luke's benefits enrollment period, which occurs in March, employees may elect to add their family to their Air St. Luke's membership for an additional $35 per year. Family Membership includes spouse and dependent children under age 23.
Life Insurance
Benefits are paid at 100% of annual basic salary for full-time employees. Double indemnity for accidental death. Reduced benefits available for part-time employees.
Supplemental: Benefits may be applied for up to 300% of your annual basic salary for you and/or your spouse. $100,000 maximum. $5,000 or $10,000 available for dependent care expenses.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Pre-tax earnings may be set aside for eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses.
Tuition Reimbursement and Scholarships
Tuition assistance for work-related classes and/or degree programs. Limited scholarships available for hard-to-recruit positions.

Employee Wellness Program

Adoption Reimbursement
Reimbursement up to $1,500 is available for expenses incurred when adopting a child.

Premium Pay/Differentials
Incentive pay is available when on-call, overtime, and night/evening/weekend shifts are worked.
Merit Wage Increases
Performance-based increases are available for all employees in all positions, to the maximum of job class pay ranges. Special compensation for long-term employees who are at the “top” of the pay range.
Pay-In-Lieu of Benefits
For those employees with other insurance options available, our pay-in-lieu of benefits program provides a higher hourly wage (9-15%, depending on employment status) in exchange for forfeiture of certain benefits.
