What is Family Medicine?
Family Medicine doctors are trained to care for patients of all ages, from infancy through the end of life. We promote the concept of a Medical Home, emphasizing a continuous relationship with a personal physician coordinating care for both wellness and illness. We believe that knowing you over many years, and knowing your family, helps us understand how your health care impacts your life.

St. Luke’s Jerome Family Medicine physicians diagnose and treat most medical issues, from infections and sprains to diabetes and asthma. We also specialize in preventive care to help you create and maintain a healthy lifestyle. And when your condition requires a specialist, we can coordinate your care with other physicians and can help you navigate your way through today’s health care.

Your Appointment

We try to stay on time, as a courtesy to you and others. Since paperwork may take a few minutes, please arrive at least fifteen minutes early. As emergencies do occur, there may be occasions when your appointment time will be delayed. We will always try to keep you informed in the event of a delay, and will be happy to reschedule your appointment, if you prefer.

We respectfully ask you to provide us with 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment, so that others may be helped during that time. In the event you do not contact us with a cancellation or change, you may be asked to pay a fee.

Communication with your physician is extremely important. It may be helpful for you to write down questions for the doctor to bring to your visit. Please bring a list of medications and dosages, or bring the bottles with you.

We strongly believe that care from your primary provider is of the utmost of importance. At the same time, we may need to schedule you with another of our providers if your primary provider is not available when you need immediate care.

Insurance Plans

Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans are accepted. We ask that you bring your insurance card with you to each visit and notify us of any changes in your address, phone number, or insurance information.

Medication Refills

If you need a refill on any medication, please contact your pharmacy and they will notify us. Allow 24-48 hours to process your refill request.
