St. Luke's Children's Specialty Center

The Children's Specialty Center in Boise is an outpatient clinical area where many of the pediatric subspecialists on our medical staff practice in close proximity to each other and to the hospital, allowing enhanced communication and ease of access for families. Subspecialists include cardiologists, neurologists, behavior and development specialists, gastroenterologists, urologists, and many others.

Located on the second floor of the South Tower, directly across from St. Luke's Boise Medical Center, the Children's Specialty Center provides a child-friendly atmosphere. A large playroom is available for patients and siblings to spend time before and after appointments. Children and parents can access the Internet for health care information or play games on computers located in the Resource Center. And teens have a special room all to themselves with computers, reading materials, and a TV/DVD player.

Multidisciplinary clinics held at the Children's Specialty Center include cystic fibrosis, spina bifida, cleft lip and palate, bowel and bladder voiding dysfunction, metabolic, genetic, and NICU follow-up. Children are evaluated by several specialists at one appointment, such as physicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers.
