St. Luke's Children's Hospital
2009 Project for Philanthropy
St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, Idaho’s only Children’s Hospital, unites the most advanced technology with a family-friendly, kid-focused philosophy to provide the highest quality of health care services to more than 50,000 children each year.
Investing in the health and well being of children in your community is one of the most worthwhile and fulfilling ways to contribute to society.
More importantly, your support will advance our mission to implement the most sophisticated information system and technology to significantly improve patient safety for the most vulnerable patients, the children cared for at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.

All funds raised from our 2009 special events will support Computerized Order Entry (COE), the health care industry standard for reducing medication errors and their often tragic consequences.
Medication ordering errors are the largest identified source of preventable medical errors.
The COE system reduces prescribing errors where they most commonly occur - from the time medications are ordered to delivery to the child.
COE ensures standardized, legible, and complete medication orders, reducing medication errors up to 81%.
Total financial need for this vital project is approximately $1 million and will be supported by individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and Children's Miracle Network fundraising.
Your support for St. Luke's Children's Hospital will not only make a difference,
it could save a life.
