Access to up-to-date information on infectious diseases, preventive health, and environmental concerns is vital for all travelers.

St. Luke’s Occupational Health Travel Medicine is a unique clinic designed to bring travel health medicine and immunization services to the adult population of Idaho in collaboration with your primary care provider.

Travel Medicine provides:

  • Travel vaccines including Yellow Fever
  • Health risk print-outs that include travel advisories from the U.S. State Department
  • International certificates of vaccination (required documents for some countries)
  • Malaria area maps
  • Informational flyers on altitude travel, travelers’ diarrhea, and motion sickness

The following topics will be discussed at your visit:

  • Immunizations: Required and recommended
  • Malaria: Insect barriers and medication recommendations
  • Food and water precautions: Advice on how best to avoid food and water borne illnesses, and what a traveler can do if problems occur
  • Personal protection: Advice on avoiding accidents and illness

Our Staff

Under the direction of our Occupational Health medical director, the staff has provided travel medicine for more than eight years. Licensed staff members follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other experts in the field of travel medicine.
