Pediatric Oncology
St. Luke’s
Children’s Hospital and Mountain
States Tumor Institute (MSTI) have fully integrated
services to provide the highest quality of family centered
care to children with cancer and their families. Outpatient
clinics staffed by expert dedicated staff and our three
pediatric oncologists provide child life, social work,
psychology, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy services
in an environment built and equipped to distract children
from the discomforts of long-term cancer care. An indoor
and outdoor play area/garden makes long stays for infusions
pass more quickly. Along with our inpatient dedicated oncology
area, SLCH/MSTI provides the only comprehensive pediatric
cancer services in Idaho.
We offer many support groups for children, siblings and families. Knowing that the majority of children will “beat their disease” and grow up to be adults, we want to provide every opportunity to support them through what is often a several year struggle, and become “just like everybody else.”
Six pediatric oncology rooms provide for the special inpatient needs of children with cancer.
