Dr. W. Christian Oakley has been practicing surgery in Boise for more than 20 years. In 2001, Dr. Oakley was the first surgeon to perform a laparoscopic gastric bypass in Idaho, at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center. Since that time, he has performed more than 700 laparoscopic gastric bypass procedures which is many more than any other surgeon in Idaho. Dr. Oakley is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is a member of the active staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Boise, where he is a past President of the medical staff.
Each member of the St. Luke's team is an experienced expert in bariatric surgical care, several of whom are nationally certified in their respective fields.
