Pounds Lost.
12 Lives Regained.
Each member of the Going, Going, Gone Sawtooth Relay team is celebrating freedom from severe obesity. Before bariatric surgery, they suffered from a variety of serious medical complications related to their obesity, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and joint pain. Many were unable to walk even a city block.
Today, 1,822 pounds lighter, they are athletes – supporting each other on and off the course. They are also supported by the bariatrics team at St. Luke’s Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and W. Christian Oakley, MD, Medical Director. Our proven track record of favorable outcomes for weight loss surgery, and our comprehensive commitment to high quality bariatric care are why we were designated an American Society for Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
