Instructor Course

Instructor Course Description
Candidates must demonstrate satisfactory performance using lectures, scenarios, interactive case presentations, skill presentations, and proper use of video-mediated learning. Instructor candidates must demonstrate skills in student testing, assessment, and remediation.

Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates will be:

Motivated to teach, facilitate learning, and ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion

Willing to comply with AHA, Regional Faculty, and Training Center Faculty rules and procedures

Prerequisites
Participants must:

  • Be competent reading ECG strips
  • Complete the ACLS OB provider course prior to attending instructor course
  • Have completed the AHA Core Instructor Course (must provide copy of Certificate of Completion), or copy of current ACLS Instructor card
