Anesthesiologist

The next person Ellery meets is the anesthesiologist (an-ess-thee-zee-ah-lo-jist). He is the person in charge of her sleepy medicine, which is also called anesthesia. He will make sure she stays asleep during her surgery and will wake her up when her surgery is all done. He also makes sure she stays so asleep that she won’t feel anything during her surgery.

Ellery also meets the nurse that will be taking care of her during her surgery. She is so nice and helps Ellery feel more comfortable.
